I come from a family where baking is more than a skill—it’s a way of life. It all began in the 1930s when my great-grandfather opened a humble bakery in Svelvik, Norway. After his passing, my great-grandmother ‘Besta’ and her children carried forward his legacy, keeping the ovens warm and the family recipes alive. Today, some of your favorite treats come from these cherished recipes, passed down through generations, while others are fresh creations blending Nordic traditions with the vibrant flavors of Sri Lanka.

Growing up, I learned that baking isn’t just about making something tasty—it’s about putting love and care into every detail. My elders always emphasized that to create something truly special, you must choose quality at every step. This belief guides everything we do today, from the premium ingredients we source to the farmers, potters, and baristas we partner with. Every element of our process reflects our commitment to creating not just food and drinks, but experiences that delight.

For us, baking and coffee go beyond taste—they’re about connection and togetherness. My grandmothers had a simple tradition of welcoming anyone with a steaming pot of coffee and a sweet treat, turning ordinary moments into cherished ones. Inspired by their warmth, we strive to create that same feeling with everything we serve, bringing people closer and sharing happiness with the world, one bite and sip at a time.
